The best time to visit Phu Quoc

The ideal time to travel to Phu Quoc Island is around November to April. This is the dry season in the South, with little rain, calm seas, gentle waves, and warm sunshine suitable for outdoor tourism activities. This season is suitable for resort tours, but not for backpackers or adventurers.

From around May to October is the rainy season, sometimes with storms, but Phu Quoc is still crowded with tourists because it falls during the summer vacation. If you go to Phu Quoc this season, you should come around the end of April, when there are still not many tourists the weather is still nice, and the prices do not increase as high as the peak season. October is also the transition season, so there is little rain.

How to get to Phu Quoc

By high-speed ferry

In addition to direct flights, you can take the bus/drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Tien and then take the high-speed ferry to Phu Quoc. The journey takes about more than 6 hours from Ho Chi Minh City to the ferry terminal in Ha Tien.
