You can travel by bus, by resort’s private bus or self-drive
By resort’s private bus: The easiest option. When you contact and book the room at the resort, you can ask about it. Most resorts now have a bus that picks up and drops off guests in Hanoi, which is very convenient.
By bus: From Hanoi, you can take a bus from Giap Bat or My Dinh bus station to go to Ba Thuoc, Thanh Hoa and then take a motorbike to Pu Luong (about 20 km away). You might need to negotiate the price in advance. I will update how to choose and book the limousine directly to Puluong later.
By motorbike: Hanoi – Xuan Mai – Ho Chi Minh Trail – Cam Thuy District (Thanh Hoa Province) – Canh Nang Town, Ba Thuoc District – Pu Luong. Just follow the Google map
